Acceptable Uses Section

Unacceptable Uses Section

○ depicts, describes, represents simulated sexual acts, content, or lewd exhibits of genitals
○ harasses, threatens, demeans, or promotes violence or hatred toward another
○ plagiarizes
○ uses inappropriate language
○ violates any federal or state laws
○ impersonates another
○ shares student or district staff personal contact information except as allowed
  • The following activities are also prohibited:
○ Using another individual’s account
○ Unauthorized attempts to log in to any network
○ malicious attempts to harm or destroy Jeffco data
○ Downloading, installing, storing malware, viruses, ‘cracking’ software
○ attempt to evade, disable, or crack passwords
○ interfering with another user’s work
○ intercepting or altering network
○ using information or resources for personal gain
○ sharing or loaning accounts
○ leaving an active system unattended
○ using a computer for unlawful purposes; illegal copying, violation of copyright laws
○ Altering technology equipment
○ Accessing, viewing, or altering official records
